Beyond the ordinary
Inspired by the dedication and growth of 100 Women Who Care Lanark County, as well as many other great ‘100’ groups, a team of community-minded Lanark-based men decided to form 100 Men Who Care Lanark County in early 2026. 100 Men Who Care Lanark County is an entirely volunteer-led and community-focused group of caring men.
Lanark County is situated in Eastern Ontario and has an estimated population of about 85,000 residents. The county seat is Perth, ON. Lanark County is made up of the following nine distinct municipalities (2025 Estimates):
- Mississippi Mills (including Almonte): 16,300
- Carleton Place: 14,800
- Perth: 7,000
- Lanark Highlands: 5,900
- Tay Valley: 6,200
- Beckwith: 10,100
- Drummond/North Elmsley: 8,000
- Montague: 4,200
- Smiths Falls: 11,093
Based on Lanark County's demographic profile, out of a total population of about 85,000 people, the adult male population (aged 25 and over) is approximately 35,000 or 41%. Out of that number we are looking for just 100 men who care!
